Tax Payments Assistance

by Andrea Christoudia

When do you have to pay your taxes?

The answer depends on the ‘type’ of income earned. Depending on the ‘type’, taxpayers usually need to pay the relevant amount of tax due (to the tax department) on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis (or even upon submission of the tax form).

How shall I pay my taxes?

Tax payments ‘within the deadline’ can be made via:

  1. Your personal internet banking.

In this case you will need the payment reference number which appears in the
Statements of Due Amounts in Tax Portal.

In some cases, you need to create the ‘assessment’ in the tax portal by yourself (i.e. the
due amount might not appear automatically in the Tax Portal).

    Or

  2. JCC Smart web portal

Overdue payments

These can only be settled via internet banking, using the payment reference number which appears in the Statements of Due Amounts in Tax Portal (see above).

Interest and penalties apply in that case.
